Wow what an amazing wedding!. I was lucky enough to be asked to photograph Siobhan and Mark’s wedding when I met them at Louise and Will’s wedding back in December, Siobhan loved the creative photos I was taking and wanted the same dramatic photos for her own autumn wedding to Mark in September. They were fortunate to have a nice warm sunny day for their outdoor ceremony on the lawns at Monkey Island.

Unfortunately one of Mark’s best men “Fingers” couldn’t make it as he has been posted to Afghanistan so Mark had a life-size cardboard cutout made of him and it was carried around all day and even featured in some of the group photos. He also record a very amusing speech and that video was projected during the speeches after dinner.

Siobhan and Mark were so relaxed and happy all day and that feeling of a relaxed garden party seemed so fitting for them both on their wedding day. In the evening we were creating some beautiful romantic couples photos for them and Helen who was one of Siobhan’s bridesmaids was helping us and started crying as she said the photos we were creating looked so beautiful!.

I hope they love their photos and will look back on them in years to come with fond memories of an amazing wedding day at Monkey Island.

About Monkey Island

Monkey Island is a distinctive wedding venue that brings its own character to the day. Every venue shapes the photography in its own way, and part of my approach is to work with whatever the building and the grounds offer rather than against them.
