Anu and Lee’s wedding at One Whitehall

Nov 26, 2007 | Wedding photographer Sussex

Anu and Lee got married yesterday at One Whitehall in London.  This is a lovely venue that has the most amazing staircase which is great for photos.

Anu got ready in the Egyptian Suite at The Horseguards Hotel.  She wore a beautiful dress with delicate red and green embroidery on the bodice and train.

Lee looked very dapper!

The staircase offers many opportunities for portraits of the happy couple and gives them a chance for a few minutes on their own together during the hectic day!

Anu and Lee are off to India and Goa for a traditional ceremony with Anu’s family which sounds wonderful!  We hope you have a great time guys and we will speak to you when you get back.

About One Whitehall Place

One Whitehall Place is a Grade I listed Victorian building on the Thames Embankment, steps from Trafalgar Square and Westminster. The Reading Room, Gladstone Library and Whitehall Suite each offer a different mood, from intimate wood-panelled to the grand ballroom with ornate plasterwork and tall windows looking onto the river.

Urban venues ask for a different approach to photography. Clean architecture rewards strong, graphic composition rather than soft English prettiness. I shoot harder lines and more deliberate framing, and I love what a London skyline does for a couple portrait at dusk.
