Polina & Evgeny’s wedding at Cliveden House

Aug 12, 2009 | Wedding photographer Sussex

Evgeny and Polina were married on Wednesday in an intimate Russian Orthodox ceremony at the Dormition of the Mother of God and All Saints in London and then the wedding reception took place at the stunning Cliveden in Taplow, Berkshire. During the reception, a caricaturist and magician entertained the guests while Evgeny and Polina, a keen photographer took time out to get some amazing creative signature shots. It was a great, fun and friendly wedding to photograph.

About Cliveden House

Cliveden House is a grand Italianate mansion on the banks of the Thames in Berkshire, set in 376 acres of National Trust parkland. Built in 1851 and now one of the country’s most prestigious 5-star hotels, Cliveden has hosted royalty, prime ministers and famous guests for generations. The Great Hall, French Dining Room and Terrace each give a different character to the wedding day.

Hotel weddings run smoothly in a way that suits how I like to photograph a day — the staff have seen it all before, the rooms are set up for the moves between ceremony, drinks and dinner, and couples can relax into it rather than managing the logistics themselves. That relaxation always shows in the pictures.
