Jim and Sara were married at St Margaret’s Church, Hooley followed by a reception in a beautiful marquee at Sara’s parents home.
There was a truely magical moment as the church doors opened and Sara appeared surrounded by the most amazing sunlight. I think everyone got quite emotional and Jim mentioned this special moment in his speech so it was lovely to be able to capture some of the magic in a photo for him!

The vicar at St Margaret’s church was quite a character and made everyone laugh during his sermon.

After the ceremony it was back to the house for group photos and the reception. Sara had three gorgeous bridesmaids and her two nieces were the cutest flowergirls (even if one did tell us she prefers rats to Princesses!)

There were few quiet moments for Jim and Sara during the day with nearly 200 guests but we did grab a few moments with them on their own for some photographs before they went in for dinner.

After supper the speeches were hilarious!

We left the party at 10.30pm with the disco in full swing and some pretty amazing and amusing dancing going on! We wish Sara and Jim a very happy and fun life together – congratulations guys!
Wedding photography notes
This wedding was photographed on location in the south of England. Every venue shapes the day in its own way, and the photography is a response to the building, the light and the people in front of me.
The photography of any wedding is a response to the venue, the light and the people in front of me. I work in a documentary style for most of the day and carve out a short portrait session around golden hour, which almost always produces the album’s hero images.
