Today was one of the wettest days of the year but nothing was going to dampen the spirits of Louise and Will who were married at the church of St Mary The Virgin in East Preston. Will was dressed in his formal military uniform and he looked very handsome – he was still wearing his favourite odd socks though! Louise arrived at the Church during a short break in the rain and her smile brightened the day immediately. The church ceremony was full to bursting with the couples friends and family witnessing them exchanging their vows, it was a lovely ceremony with fantastic singing! Louise and Will left the church through a Guard of Honour before making their way to the reception in Will’s Father’s Vintage Jaguar, which was originally owned by his Grandfather, the legendary Jockey Dick Francis. This is the car Dick Francis drove to Aintree in when he rode Devon Loch in the Grand National only to lose the race when his horse famously did the splits just 40 meters from the winning post.

The reception was held at Great Ballard’s School, which had a fantastic marquee set up on the lawn. Despite the weather the marquee was warm, bright and looking very festive with a large Christmas tree and baubles for all the guests. As a treat Louise and Will had made each guest a small bottle of Sloe Gin or home made Jaegerbomb, we can only imagine how potent they will be!
