I love it now the wedding season is in full swing! Yesterday was Becky and Tom’s wedding, which I had been looking forward to a lot as they were referred to me by Vicky and Nick, whose wedding I photographed at The Mandarin Oriental Hotel three years ago. I began with the girls at Becky’s parents lovely house in Cranleigh where there was a lovely relaxed atmosphere and a great buzz as everyone was getting ready. The ceremony took place at the local Church of St Nicholas and all the guests joined in enthusiastically with the hymns, two of which had more than a small link to Tom’s passion of rugby – Jerusalem and Bread of Heaven.
After the ceremony Becky and Tom travelled to Ramster in Style in the back of a lovely vintage Rolls-Royce and once again the weather was kind enough to allow us to take all of the group photographs outside even if the sun was playing games with me! Dinner took place in The Long Hall, which looked gorgeous dressed in white flowers and fairy lights. I was very happy to see that the tables names were Pick and Mix sweets and there was a great candy bar as this is one of my (many) weaknesses! The meal was catered and served by the fabulous Jacaranda Catering, who we have worked with on many occasions and as always it was first class. After dinner Becky’s father gave a lovely speech which was given a standing ovation by the guests. Tom and his Best Man gave speeches which were equally funny and moving, there were tears and laughter all around the hall.
In the evening, the live band from Wales P’tcheaow and a great Photobooth kept the guests thoroughly entertained. I had a great day with Becky and Tom and I am very envious of their honeymoon, they are travelling the West Coast of America – it sounds amazing! I can’t wait to catch up with them on their return.
