Barrie had a very busy year in 2006 submitting images to various professional contests. He won an amazing five merits from Fujifilm Envisage – the professional arm of Fujifilm UK. These images all go forward to the final judging later this year for the Fujifilm Professional Photographer of the Year award.
One of the Fujifilm Envisage winning images was also awarded a merit scoring 85% in the prestigious SWPP (Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers) 20″ x 16″ print competition. This was judged live at the SWPP/DWF event in London in January. Barrie was in good company with the likes of Jerry Ghionis also winning merits (or perhaps I should say Jerry was in good company with Barrie!) The award winning images are shown below (the blue Bride on Staircase image scored merits with both Fujifilm and the SWPP)
