A london wedding at The Hurlingham Club

On Saturday, Barrie photographed the wedding of Inja and Tunde. The ceremony took place at St John’s Church in Hyde Park. Their wedding was very colourful with a mix of African and Norwegian friends and family and they had eight Bridesmaids and seventeen Groomsmen! They got some photos in the sunshine at the lovely grounds at the Hurlingham Club before an African drum and dance troop led the way into the wedding breakfast.

The Hurlingham club is a fabulous wedding venue right in the middle of London and ideal for a central London wedding if you are looking for somewhere central but feeling like it’s in the middle of nowhere.

Dignitaries from across the world had flown in fro this very special occasion, Inja & Tunde were delighted to see so many of their friends and family from all four corners of the world had flown into London to see them on their wedding day.

About The Hurlingham Club

The Hurlingham Club is the kind of urban wedding venue that tells you, the moment you walk in, that this isn’t going to be a traditional country-house day. Strong architecture, modern interiors and city views set a very different tone.

Urban venues ask for a different approach to photography. Clean architecture rewards strong, graphic composition rather than soft English prettiness. I shoot harder lines and more deliberate framing, and I love what a London skyline does for a couple portrait at dusk.
