Yesterday we were both photographing and filming the wedding of Rebecca and Pete at the stunning Four Seasons Hampshire Hotel. They celebrated with an outdoor ceremony in the beautiful Walled Garden in glorious sunshine. After the ceremony, we made a short trip for some photographs in the grounds of the hotel before the guests sat down to a fabulous meal and hilarious speeches! After dinner, the band Nostalgia really got the party going with incredible Greek and English music, there were some serious moves going down on the dance floor. In Pete’s words, it was sweeeeeeeet!

The Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire combines the polish of a dedicated hotel wedding venue with the warmth of somewhere that functions as a hotel day in, day out. Rooms for guests to stay over, bar service that doesn’t miss a beat and reception spaces that have seen enough weddings to run smoothly.
I find hotel weddings reward a subtle approach. The architecture and interiors do a lot of the heavy lifting, so the photography can focus on the people rather than the venue. That usually means tighter framing and more reportage than you’d shoot in a country house.
