Yesterday was the wedding of Lilai and Sisi at Leeds Castle in Kent. This was our first wedding at the Castle and what a fabulous wedding venue it is! When Lilai first got in touch with us, he was so enthusiastic about our photography, we knew that their wedding day would be something special. We love our creative wedding photography and we were absolutely delighted that Lilai and Sisi had put aside six hours prior to their wedding ceremony to get lots of our signature images around the Castle and grounds.
Sisi was the most incredible Bride to work with, totally enthusiastic about every suggestion we put to her and it helped that she looked so amazing in her stunning Pronovias wedding dress. Sisi did not only have one dress though, I believe in total she had around 20 that her Mum had bought over from China and Lilai had a similar number of outfit changes so we were able to get lots of different looks throughout the day. At no point, however, did she look more radiant than when she walked up the aisle to her groom Lilai.
After the ceremony, the beautiful weather allowed us to take photographs outside the castle with the vintage Rolls-Royce the couple had booked. The wedding meal was served in the dramatic Henry VIII Banqueting Hall. During the speeches, Lilai and Sisi served traditional tea to their parents as a symbol of the two families coming together.
This was a fun day and we are so pleased with the images we have taken for Lilai and Sisi and we hope they will be too!

About Leeds Castle
Leeds Castle brings the full drama of a castle setting to a wedding day — stone walls, period interiors and the kind of grounds that turn every exterior shot into something cinematic. Ceremonies are typically held in the most historic room of the castle before the reception moves out into the great hall or a marquee on the lawns.
Couple portraits at a castle reward a slightly slower pace. I usually pull the couple away from the guests for twenty or thirty minutes in the early evening to explore the grounds — courtyards, battlements, any stretch of wall that catches the light — while the drinks reception flows on without them.
