Caroline and James’ wedding at Goodwood House

Aug 31, 2008 | Wedding photographer Sussex

We had wall to wall blue sky on Saturday for the wedding of Caroline and James at Goodwood House. The beautiful weather reflected the atmosphere of the day which was really relaxed and fun. Caroline and James were great on the day and really enjoyed taking time out to get some of our signature shots for them. We look forward to catching up with them again very soon!

About Goodwood House

Goodwood House is one of the most prestigious wedding venues in West Sussex. The Regency country house sits at the foot of the South Downs a short drive from Chichester and has been the home of the Dukes of Richmond for more than 300 years. Couples have the run of grand state rooms including the Egyptian Dining Room, Tapestry Drawing Room and Long Hall, with the estate’s 12,000 acres of parkland stretching out beyond.

What I love shooting in a venue like this is the range of backdrops within a few minutes’ walk. One set of portraits in the grand formal rooms; a completely different set on the lawns; another in a walled garden or courtyard. The album ends up covering what feels like several very different locations.
