Cassie and Duncan’s wedding at Bury Court Barn

Aug 25, 2008 | Wedding photographer Sussex

Yesterday we were at Bury Court Barn near Farnham for the wedding of Cassie and Duncan. This is a beautiful barn conversion and a great location for a civil ceremony and reception. The gardens were looking fantastic and were a great spot for some portraits of the newly married couple.

About Bury Court Barn

Bury Court Barn sits on a working gardener’s estate in Bentley on the Hampshire–Surrey border. The 17th century flint-and-brick barn has been sympathetically converted into one of the south’s most loved rustic wedding venues, and it’s surrounded by walled gardens designed by Piet Oudolf and Christopher Bradley-Hole — some of the most admired perennial planting in the country.

Barn light changes character as the sun moves. Morning preparation in one corner; afternoon speeches with light coming through the hayloft window; evening portraits lit by fairy lights and candles. A good barn wedding album ends up being almost a tour of the building’s light.
