Kerry & Scott’s wedding at the Walled Garden Midhurst

I had a great time today photographing the wedding of Kerry & Scott at the Walled Garden in Midhurst. They are both keen climbers and on their first date they went climbing so there was no way I was going to keep them from climbing the ruins of the historic tudor house!.

About The Walled Garden, Midhurst

The Walled Garden at Midhurst is a hidden West Sussex venue in the centre of the historic market town of Midhurst, close to the ruins of Cowdray Park. Set behind original 18th-century walls, the garden offers a fully outdoor ceremony space surrounded by mature borders, lawns and fruit trees, with a glass marquee option for the dinner and evening party.

Walled gardens are some of the most forgiving venues in the country for photography. Old brick walls soften the light and hold warm tones all afternoon, so even a bright summer day avoids the harshness you’d get in an open field. Portraits can happen almost anywhere and still look right.
