Sarah and Ralph’s wedding at Pennyhill Park

Jul 31, 2009 | Wedding photographer Sussex

Sarah and Ralph were married in a ceremony at the beautiful Pennyhill Park in Bagshot. They had a very special guest in Della, their gorgeous Cocker Spaniel who made an appearance for the photographs. The weather was once again warm and sunny despite the poor weather forecast either side of the day. I am sure they will have a very long and happy marriage, although Sarah may be forced to take a back seat tomorrow when Ralph gets to meet the Chelsea Football team who are dining at the hotel!

About Pennyhill Park

Pennyhill Park is a country house wedding venue in the best English tradition — grand reception rooms, formal gardens and the kind of gravel-drive approach that sets the tone from the moment guests arrive. Couples typically use the main state rooms for the ceremony and dinner, with the grounds opening up space for portraits and evening drinks.

Country houses like this one reward a photographer who knows where to find good light. I spend time during the day finding the windows that flood the main rooms with soft, directional light and pairing those with the grounds outside for couple portraits. If the weather turns, interiors this rich stand on their own without needing a blue sky.
