Yesterday I was at the wedding of Tom and Skates. It was such a brilliant day with a great group of people all up for a lot of fun! The ceremony at Stanmer House was conducted by a good friend of the couple and it had many highlights, two that come to mind are the personal vows exchanged between Tom and Skates and also the most dramatic and thought provoking interpretation of a reading from Winnie the Pooh that I think will ever be performed anywhere! There was time for a few photographs at Stanmer before we all headed off to Pangdean Barn for the reception. The gardens provided a beautiful background to the group shots. Before the meal everyone was very entertained by the three speeches including some photographs from Tom’s dim and distant past being paraded by the best men. At the end of the night, I left everyone in full party mood dancing to the brilliant Rock and Roll band, The Atlantics. Thanks for a really fun day Toms and Skates, I had a great time!

About Stanmer House and Pangdean Barn
Stanmer House and Pangdean Barn offers the relaxed, rustic feel that so many couples are now looking for: exposed beams, warm wood, open courtyards and plenty of outdoor space for drinks and evening firepits. Barn venues like this tend to give a long, unhurried day that lends itself naturally to reportage photography.
Barns are forgiving in bad weather, which is no small thing in English summer. If the rain comes I have a full indoor wedding I can still shoot without needing to adjust my plans. The warm interior means couple portraits indoors never feel like a compromise.
