Sarah and Mark’s wedding at the Walled Garden, Cowdray

May 30, 2010 | Wedding photographer Sussex

The wet weather did nothing to dampen the atmosphere at Sarah and Mark’s wedding at The Walled Garden yesterday. Sarah wore a gorgeous floaty dress by Manuel Mota and looked every inch the perfect Bride! The ceremony was incredibly personal with some beautiful readings I have never heard before. After the ceremony, we dodged the showers and were able to take all of the group photographs outside and we also got over the the ruins of Cowdray House for some Bride and Groom signature images. I was made so welcome by the lovely family and friends of Sarah and Mark. It was a pleasure to record the day for them.

About the Walled Garden, Cowdray

the Walled Garden, Cowdray is an outdoor wedding venue that makes a feature of its planting and landscaping. Walled garden settings like this hold warmth and filtered light through the afternoon, so even bright summer days avoid the harshness of an open field.

The best thing about a garden venue is the way it changes through the seasons. A spring wedding here looks nothing like a late-summer one, which means every garden wedding feels distinctive even when the venue is familiar to me.
