Yesterday we photographed the wedding of Corrina and Mark at Burghclere Church followed by a reception at the stunning Highclere Castle near Newbury. Corrina looked gorgeous in a Caroline Castigliano dress, a truely beautiful bride! Highclere Castle is a wonderful location for photography and we were able to spend time with them taking some of our favourite signature images both in the castle and also in the folly thanks to a lift from the Castle’s butler! The evening finished with a fireworks display and we left them to enjoy their party.

About Highclere Castle
Highclere Castle is best known as the real-life setting of Downton Abbey, but long before television crews arrived it was already one of England’s most dramatic country houses. The Jacobean-style mansion was redesigned in the 1840s by Sir Charles Barry — the architect of the Houses of Parliament — and sits in 1,000 acres of Capability Brown parkland on the Hampshire–Berkshire border.
Castles photograph differently at different times of day. Early light hits the stone cool and neutral; late afternoon turns it golden; evening lighting inside creates long shadows and drama. I move through the day with a plan for each of these moments, so the album reflects the full range.
