Laura & Stewart’s wedding at The Walled Garden Midhurst

Jul 25, 2010 | Wedding photographer Sussex

Laura & Stewart were Married yesterday in a very emotional ceremony at Aldingbourne Church and then went on to their reception at the Walled Gardens in Midhurst. We had a fantastic time in the Cowdray Ruins getting some great photos for them and they were just a joy to work with, I am looking forward to seeing them when they return from their honeymoon and we can choose the photos for their album.

About The Walled Garden, Midhurst

The Walled Garden at Midhurst is a hidden West Sussex venue in the centre of the historic market town of Midhurst, close to the ruins of Cowdray Park. Set behind original 18th-century walls, the garden offers a fully outdoor ceremony space surrounded by mature borders, lawns and fruit trees, with a glass marquee option for the dinner and evening party.

Garden weddings reward attention to small details — the way the light comes through a tree, a border in full flower behind the couple, a bee on a glass during drinks. I shoot tighter than usual in a garden because the planting itself becomes part of the story.
