Bee and Ben’s wedding at Boxgrove Priory and Goodwood House

Aug 29, 2010 | Wedding photographer Sussex

The 900 year old Boxgrove Priory was the setting for Bee and Ben’s wedding ceremony today and their reception followed at Goodwood House just a short drive away. The ceremony was conducted by Father Ian Forester who is one of the most charming and accommodating Priests I have met. Bee and Ben are such a lovely couple and their love and happiness was so clear to see all day. One of the special requests that they had was for a photograph with one of the ancient Cedar’s of Lebanon at Goodwood, one of the oldest trees on the Estate, which was a first for me and also for Goodwood! I had such a lovely day and I can’t wait to catch up with Bee and Ben after their honeymoon.

About Boxgrove Priory and Goodwood House

Boxgrove Priory and Goodwood House is a traditional parish church wedding venue with the quiet formality that comes with a church ceremony. The stone interior, stained-glass windows and peal of bells set the tone before guests move on to the reception nearby.

English churches photograph particularly well in summer when the stained-glass light is at its best. The colour spill across the aisle, the guests lit from the side, the couple framed by carved stone — these are images that are hard to create anywhere else.
