I knew today was going to be fab when I photographed Laura and Ed at Goodwood a couple of weeks ago. Their wedding today at Upwaltham Barns was brilliant – so much fun with the friendliest people. Laura and Ed are really keen on photography and didn’t bat an eyelid when I told them I had found a derelict barn and I wanted to take them for some photographs in it! I hope you enjoy the results in this small sneak peak of their day! Full blog post coming soon.

About Upwaltham Barns
Upwaltham Barns sits in a quiet pocket of the South Downs between Petworth and Chichester. The complex of three restored flint-and-brick farm buildings — Ceremony Barn, Barley Barn and Yard Barn — gives couples a complete end-to-end venue with accommodation, ceremony space and reception areas all on the same working farm. It’s one of West Sussex’s most popular barn weddings for a reason.
Barns reward a photographer who pays attention to texture. The weathered wood, brickwork, linen table runners and exposed beams give the whole day a warm, soft palette that works beautifully in print. I usually shoot a little wider in a barn to let those textures come through alongside the people.
