We have just returned home from a few days in London attending the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographer’s convention which was held at the Hilton Metropole in London. It was a brilliant event where we were able to meet with fellow photographers from around the World. On Saturday we gave a talk to delegates on working towards the Licentiate Qualification, which was well attended and very interactive. One of the highlights of the event is the 20″ x 16″ print competition, which sees some of the World’s best photographers submitting images for a panel of international judges. Barrie was awarded 4 merit awards out of five images entered. Merit awards are given to images scoring 80% or above to to have four of his images hanging in the exhibition was brilliant! Barrie received three awards for wedding images and one for a portrait both highly competitive categories.
