It is said that rain on your wedding day is lucky because a wet knot is hard to undo. If this is the case then Louise and Max are set to have a very long and happy marriage as the rain did not stop all day! Although the weather was a far cry from what they are used to in Hong Kong where they live, their wedding day was fun from start to finish! People make a wedding and Max and Louise’s family and friends were warm and welcoming and having a wonderful time!
The couple celebrated with a civil ceremony in the Garden Room at Wasing Park followed by a religious blessing in the tiny Church of St Nicholas, just a short walk from the venue. After the ceremony, we made the most of the pretty church for group shots with friends and family and also some portraits of the couple on their own together before going in to the Castle Barn for the wedding breakfast. I was so impressed, Louise had made origami Cranes for all the guests to take home, this must have taken forever to do and more patience than I could ever have! The Bridal party shimmied in to the wedding breakfast before enjoying some hilarious speeches from both fathers, Max and his two best men.
In the evening, entertainment was provided by the party band Oomph. If you are looking for a wedding band, I would thoroughly recommend them! A photo booth and sweet table kept the guests more than happy and we left the party in full swing. It was clearly going to be a brilliant evening!
Louise and Max are now back in Hong Kong, in significantly warmer weather before heading to Bali for a honeymoon soon. We loved being part of their wedding day and we wish them all the very best for the future!
