Yesterday we made the journey to Hertfordshire to photograph and film the wedding of Ciaran and Andrew at Coltsfoot Country Retreat. The weather gave us everything including heavy rain, strong winds and gorgeous sunshine. Fortunately the sun was shining all the time the guests were outside but the changing weather made for some fantastic clouds, which are brilliant for photographs! Andrew and Ciaran were fantastic, giving us plenty of time to work with them and they were so happy all day, it was a pleasure for us to be there to record it for them!

Every wedding venue shapes the photography in its own way, and part of my approach is to work with what each venue offers rather than against it. I scout the best light before the day starts, plan around the building’s architecture and move through the day as the couple does.
