Another fantastic wedding today, Victoria & Ben were married at St Mary’s Church Lavant and then went on to their reception at the fabulous gridshell building at The Weald and Downland open air museum.

St Mary’s Church Lavant & The Weald and Downland Museum is a traditional parish church wedding venue with the quiet formality that comes with a church ceremony. The stone interior, stained-glass windows and peal of bells set the tone before guests move on to the reception nearby.
The strongest church photography tends to happen at the two ends of the ceremony — the bride arriving at the door and the couple leaving as husband and wife. Both are fleeting, and I’m usually in position well before they happen so nothing gets missed.
