Elly and Andy’s wedding in Sturminster Newton

Jun 1, 2008 | Wedding photographer Sussex

Elly and Andy had the perfect day for their wedding in Sturminster Newton.  The ceremony took place at St Mary’s church follwed by the reception in Durweston.  The theme for the day was peacocks and the colours that they had incorporated into the details were gorgeous.  In the evening, Elly’s swing band took to the stage to entertain the guests.  We had a great time at their wedding and we look forward to catching up when they get back from honeymoon.

About Sturminster Newton

Sturminster Newton is a cathedral-scale ceremony space. The sheer height of the interior, the long aisle and the stained-glass light give the opening of the day a real sense of occasion that smaller venues simply can’t match.

Cathedral scale works in the photographer’s favour. Tall stained glass, soaring vaulted ceilings and a long aisle let you frame the couple against architecture other venues spend a fortune trying to imitate. The opening of the service — the bride walking up that aisle — is almost always the album’s hero shot.
