We were at Goodwood House yesterday for the wedding of Asma and Steve. Although the weather was chilly, the rain held off for the entire day. I met with Asma and her Bridemaids at the Goodwood Hotel where they were getting ready and they were so relaxed and having so much fun it was a really enjoyable time of the day! Asma made her way to the House in a vintage Rolls -Royce driven by her cousin. Barrie had met with the boys earlier on at the House for some cool shots of them before the ceremony.
We are very fortunate in Chichester that we work with some of the loveliest registrars and yesterday was no exception, we were able to photograph the ceremony for Asma and Steve in the beautiful Yellow Drawing Room of Goodwood House. Music throughout the ceremony and drinks reception was provided by the Nero String Quartet who were brilliant and we would thoroughly recommend. After the ceremony, we were able to go outside for photographs and Goodwood provided a golf buggy so that we could take Asma and Steve out to the avenue of trees that lines the start of the famous Festival of Speed Hillclimb. We also took some photographs of them together in the vintage Rolls-Royce and the music room before they went in to their wedding breakfast.
After the meal and speeches, we set ups photo booth in the ballroom. Asma had provided a box of Arab and Irish dressing up clothes and we spent a very funny hour taking shots of the guests who fully got in to the idea! An Irish Celidh in the Supper Room helped the guests to work off their meal, it was fun and high energy and we were confused just watching it but clearly everyone was having a great time!
Asma and Steve are off to Indonesia for their honeymoon and we are looking forward to catching up with them when they get ome.

About Goodwood House
Goodwood House is one of the most prestigious wedding venues in West Sussex. The Regency country house sits at the foot of the South Downs a short drive from Chichester and has been the home of the Dukes of Richmond for more than 300 years. Couples have the run of grand state rooms including the Egyptian Dining Room, Tapestry Drawing Room and Long Hall, with the estate’s 12,000 acres of parkland stretching out beyond.
The scale of a venue like this means I can move through the day without ever feeling rushed or on top of the guests. Wide reception rooms, long corridors and the grounds outside give me space to work both close and at distance — which is how you end up with an album that has real variety in it.
