Katie and Dan’s wedding at Bosham Church and the Spreadeagle Hotel

Apr 22, 2007 | Wedding photographer Sussex

Katie and Dan got married yesterday at All Saints church in Bosham followed by a reception at The Spread Eagle Hotel in Midhurst.  The wedding had a distinctly Scottish theme with pageboys and the Best Man in kilts and a piper playing the guests to dinner.  Very unusual sights and sounds for the heart of the Sussex Countryside but great fun none the less!

About Bosham Church and the Spreadeagle Hotel

Bosham Church and the Spreadeagle Hotel is a traditional parish church wedding venue with the quiet formality that comes with a church ceremony. The stone interior, stained-glass windows and peal of bells set the tone before guests move on to the reception nearby.

The strongest church photography tends to happen at the two ends of the ceremony — the bride arriving at the door and the couple leaving as husband and wife. Both are fleeting, and I’m usually in position well before they happen so nothing gets missed.
