Wedderburn Castle Wedding photography
Sarah and Andy married at Wedderburn Castle in Duns, Scotland this weekend. The castle is a stunning, private venue and they were blessed with the most amazing warm and sunny April day. The day started with a lovely ceremony in the ballroom with readings as diverse as Winnie the Pooh and Ernest Hemmingway and a gorgeous solo by Eleanor who was one of Sarah’s bridesmaids and whose wedding to Paul we photographed last year.
The ceremony was followed by drinks and croquet on the lawns in front of the castle and some impromptu singing to accompany the pianist. After dinner the fun really started with a Ceilidh band – it was very funny to watch and we hope everyone survived the experience unscathed!
We love visiting Scotland as it gives us a chance to visit friends and relatives there and this was a great weekend. We wish Sarah and Andy every happiness for their future together and if you are looking for a photographer for your wedding at Wedderburn Castle please do give us a call.

About Wedderburn Castle
Wedderburn Castle brings the full drama of a castle setting to a wedding day — stone walls, period interiors and the kind of grounds that turn every exterior shot into something cinematic. Ceremonies are typically held in the most historic room of the castle before the reception moves out into the great hall or a marquee on the lawns.
Castles photograph differently at different times of day. Early light hits the stone cool and neutral; late afternoon turns it golden; evening lighting inside creates long shadows and drama. I move through the day with a plan for each of these moments, so the album reflects the full range.
