We had a great day yesterday photographing Keily and Shane’s wedding. They gave us lots of time with them and we were able to get some great signature images for them!

About Nutfield Priory

Nutfield Priory is a Victorian Gothic mansion in Surrey built to resemble a medieval priory, sitting high on Nutfield Ridge with views across the Weald. The dramatic architecture — turrets, stained glass and carved stone — gives every photograph a sense of theatre, and the sloping grounds open onto the surrounding countryside.

Country houses like this one reward a photographer who knows where to find good light. I spend time during the day finding the windows that flood the main rooms with soft, directional light and pairing those with the grounds outside for couple portraits. If the weather turns, interiors this rich stand on their own without needing a blue sky.
