Yesterday we both photographed the wedding of Emma and Chris. The ceremony took place at the beautiful church of St Michael just a short walk away from the reception venue of Amberley Castle, which was definitely looking at its best in the sunshine. There was plenty of entertainment including a string trio playing through the drinks reception, The Three Tenors performing during the meal and then the party band, Madison Square playing on into the evening. It was a great day and we wish Emma and Chris every happiness for the future.

About St Michael’s Amberley and Amberley Castle
St Michael’s Amberley and Amberley Castle brings the full drama of a castle setting to a wedding day — stone walls, period interiors and the kind of grounds that turn every exterior shot into something cinematic. Ceremonies are typically held in the most historic room of the castle before the reception moves out into the great hall or a marquee on the lawns.
I pay particular attention to the interiors in a castle like this one. Stone walls hold the light in a particular way, stained glass throws unusual colours across the floor, and the sheer height of the rooms gives a sense of theatre that’s almost impossible to replicate in a more modern venue.
