What a busy few weeks we are having with so many lovely weddings! Here at last is the full blog post for Esther and Rob’s wedding. They were married at the gorgeous St Leodegar’s church in Hunston, which was bursting at the seams with all their friends and family. The day was hot and sunny, just perfect for a British summer wedding and Esther look absolutely radiant as she arrived (even if she was just a teensy bit late!) After the ceremony, it was off to the wonderful Southend Barns for the reception.
We have talked about these beautiful barns before but being just five minutes from home we just love photographing weddings there. It was an ideal day for enjoying the immaculate collecting yard while the guests enjoyed canapes and champagne. The Threshing Barn was beautifully decorated with a rustic countryside feel, lavender, wooden crates and plenty of seasonal flowers.
The speeches at this wedding were very funny and very poignant with laughter and tears in equal measure but they elegantly demonstrated the strength of the relationship between Esther and Rob. In the evening, guests toasted marshmallows on the fab fire pits in the courtyard before letting their hair down to a wonderful celidh in the barn.
Another really enjoyable wedding at Southend Barns and we both look forward to catching up with Esther and Rob very soon.

About Southend Barns
Southend Barns is a trio of converted 17th-century Sussex barns on the outskirts of Chichester. The venue has become a firm favourite for couples wanting a rustic feel without compromising on comfort — exposed beams, flagstone floors and an enclosed courtyard garden that holds the crowd through drinks and canapés.
The biggest advantage of a barn venue is the transition between indoor and outdoor through the day — ceremony inside or out, drinks in the courtyard, dinner back inside, evening dancing spilling out under fairy lights. I follow that rhythm rather than fighting it.
