The Average Cost of a London Wedding Photographer
Of course, every wedding is unique, so what works for one couple may not be suitable for another. That said, there are some general guidelines which can give you an idea of how much money to put aside for photography services.
On average, couples in London typically spend between £1,300 and £3,800 on their wedding photographer. However, the price can vary widely depending on the type of package they choose and the services they require. For instance, some photographers offer ‘all-day’ packages that cover all aspects of photography throughout the entire event while others charge an hourly rate and produce shorter coverage. Albums and other printed products can also add additional costs – so these should be factored into your budget if you plan to purchase them.
Other elements such as travel expenses should also be considered when budgeting for a London wedding photographer – especially if you’re looking for someone who is based outside the city limits. If that is the case with your chosen photographer then ask them about their additional travel fees before committing to anything else.
Book early; look out for seasonal offers or refer-a-friend schemes – these are just some of the many ways couples can save money when it comes to photographing their weddings in London!
How to Find affordable London wedding photography
1. Shop around and compare prices – Before you commit to any single photographer, take time to shop around for different quotes and packages. Many photographers in London offer discounts if you book early or negotiate package deals, so make sure you check those out too!
2. Research online reviews – Take some time to read online reviews of wedding photographers in London and see what past couples have said about them. This will help narrow down your search and give you an indication as to which ones are worth hiring based on their level of service, attention to detail, creativity, etc.
3. Ask friends or family for recommendations – Word-of-mouth is always a great way to find quality services at an affordable rate. Ask friends or family who have been married recently if they could recommend a wedding photographer based on their own experiences.
4. Look out for seasonal offers – If you’re looking to hire a wedding photographer during peak season then keep an eye out for special offers or discounts that may be available at certain times of year (e.g., winter).
5. Dont forget that photgraphy is an important aspect of your wedding day and you may be better off cutting the budget for something like flowers and getting the best wedding photographer you can afford.
When is splurging on an expensive wedding photographer worth it?
1. Reputation – High-end photographers typically have established reputations that make them stand out from their competition. Their experience and expertise in capturing the perfect shots will ensure you get the best results for your special day.
2. Experience – Professional photographers will usually have plenty of experience shooting weddings, so you can be sure that they know what they’re doing when setting up shots and dealing with any last-minute issues. This can help put your mind at ease so that you’re not worrying about anything going wrong on your big day!
3. Quality of results – You’ll want beautiful photos that capture all of the memorable moments from your wedding day; so hiring an experienced and reputable photographer is often worth the cost as they know how to produce amazing images that look both professional and stylish.
4. Flexibility – Whilst cheaper photographers may offer packages that give you limited control over how your photos turn out, high-end ones will often be more open to customizing their services so that you get exactly what you want without any hidden costs or surprises down the line.
No one wants to invest more money than necessary into their wedding photography but if you really want stunning shots then spending extra on an expensive London photographer may be worth it!
No hidden costs with our photography packages
1. Travel expenses – If your chosen photographer is based outside of London then they may charge extra travel costs if needed. While some photographers offer this service for free, others may have additional fees depending on the distance and time required to get there. Make sure to clarify this up front before you commit to anything. We do not charge any extra for travel costs
2. Albums and printed products – Although many photographers include details about albums or other printed products in their packages, the cost of these items is often not included in the initial quote. Double check what’s included and make sure you factor any additional expenses into your budget before making a final decision. Our pricing shoes exactly what you get in each package with no hidden extras
3. Post-processing time – Many photographers will quote their services without taking into account how long it takes them post process images after your event has ended. This can take anywhere from several days to weeks; so make sure you know what their turnaround time is ahead of time or add something into your contract so that they remain accountable to completing all post-processing in a timely manner.. We will have your photos available with 5 working days
4. Additional services – Most photographers will also offer additional services such as engagement shoots, pre-wedding preparation and rehearsal coverage which can come with additional costs attached if required. These should all be agreed upon upfront prior to booking anything else so that both parties remain satisfied with the terms of the agreement.
Why choose a professional wedding photographer
Professional photographers also have access to top-quality gear, like cameras and lenses, plus editing software built specifically for wedding photography that allows them to bring out the best features in each photo. Another advantage of hiring a professional wedding photographer is that they will be able to provide you with advice on what type of shots would look great, help guide you through the process from start to finish and give you tips on how to pose for perfect photos. Plus, with their extensive knowledge in post-production editing, they can ensure everything looks beautiful no matter which type of lighting or environment you’re in.
Finally, having a professional wedding photographer allows you peace of mind knowing that everything will turn out right – so you can relax and enjoy your day! With each passing year, memories fade but with beautiful photos taken by a professional photographer, your memories will stay alive forever! You may also be interested in Having a pre-wedding photoshoot before your wedding day to get comfortable in front of the camera. I can help arrange this for you and you get a discount of 10% on my fees for a pre-wedding shoot if you book me as your wedding photographer.
How to choose the right wedding photography package for you?
When looking at packages, think about if there are enough hours included to cover all the important moments like getting ready, exchanging vows, and taking formal and candid photos.
You should also check to see if any extra services like prints or digital copies are available with each package, as well as what type of extras are included in each package.
Higher-priced packages often include features like multiple photographers, extra hours of shooting, and more images which greatly increases your total value. Plus, albums are often included with these types of packages so you have a physical reminder of our special day to showcase to friends and family. Investing in a more expensive package may be the best choice for documenting your memories for years to come.
Finally, look into timelines and turnaround times so you know when the photos will be ready for viewing. Taking the time to research different packages before making a decision will ensure that you get exactly what you need for your special day.
