Elopement Photographer London
Just the two of you, maybe two witnesses, and a wander through London afterwards. Coverage from £350, with your gallery the next day.
Eloping isn't running away from anything. It's choosing to make the day about the two of you. I've photographed more than ten elopements in London.
No seating plans, no RSVPs, no performing for a hundred guests. Just a town hall, a couple of witnesses, and the rest of the day to yourselves. After twenty years of weddings of every size, the elopements are often the ones where couples are most themselves.

It's your wedding day. I just keep up.
An elopement isn't a styled shoot with a certificate attached. It's a real wedding, it just happens to be small.
So I don't direct it like a shoot. I'm there for the ceremony and the signing, then out into the city with you afterwards. Nothing stiff, nothing over-arranged.
With an elopement the photographs matter more than usual, because the people who weren't there will only ever see the day through them. I take that seriously.
BarrieWhere to elope in London
London is a brilliant city to elope in. Good register offices, and a whole city to wander once the paperwork is signed.

Old Marylebone Town Hall
The best-known register office in London, with the famous steps, and Regent's Park a short walk away for portraits.
The Marylebone guide →
Chelsea Old Town Hall
Light and grand inside, with the King's Road and quiet Chelsea squares on the doorstep once you're married.
The Chelsea guide →
Islington Town Hall
A relaxed register office with a lot of character, and Upper Street and the Canonbury terraces close by.
After the ceremony is often the best part. Hyde Park, the South Bank, a Mayfair mews, a black cab in between. We plan it around the light and the places that mean something to you.

London elopement questions
How many elopements have you photographed?
More than ten in London. Usually it's just the two of you, or you and a couple of witnesses, at a London register office, then portraits around the city. Alexander and Laura at Chelsea Old Town Hall is a good example. Coverage starts from £350, and your gallery is online within 24 hours.
How many people do we need to elope in London?
For a legal ceremony in England you need two witnesses, plus the registrar. Your witnesses can be friends or family, and I'm very used to being the only other person there.
Where can we legally get married?
Any register office, like Old Marylebone, Chelsea or Islington, or any venue licensed for civil ceremonies. Some couples do the legal part at a town hall and something more personal afterwards.
How long do you photograph an elopement for?
From one hour for the ceremony and a few portraits, up to three hours or more. Most eloping couples book two hours.
Can we elope now and celebrate later?
Yes. Plenty of couples elope on their own and have a party for family and friends later. I can photograph that as a separate booking.
How quickly do we get our photos?
Within 24 hours for hourly coverage, in a private online gallery with every image edited and full high-resolution downloads.
