Liz and Alex’s wedding at Arundel Cathedral and The Walled Garden

Jun 8, 2008 | Wedding photographer Sussex

Liz and Alex were married in the magnificent setting of Arundel Cathedral and the ceremony was followed by a reception at The Walled Garden at Midhurst.  The ruins of the Castle at Cowdray made the perfect atmospheric backdrop for some photographs later on in the day.

About Arundel Cathedral and The Walled Garden

Arundel Cathedral and The Walled Garden is a cathedral-scale ceremony space. The sheer height of the interior, the long aisle and the stained-glass light give the opening of the day a real sense of occasion that smaller venues simply can’t match.

Outside a cathedral is as important as inside. Stone steps, west fronts and surrounding squares give couples the kind of backdrop you can’t build — centuries of history right behind them, usually with room to pull back far enough to get the full sweep of the architecture in frame.
