Horsted Place Wedding Photographer
A Victorian Gothic country house near Uckfield, with a sweeping staircase, formal gardens and a croquet lawn for outdoor ceremonies.
Horsted Place is a red-brick Victorian Gothic house in the East Sussex countryside, just outside Uckfield.
Augustus Pugin, of the Houses of Parliament, had a hand in the interiors, and it was once a quiet getaway for the Royal family. Today it's a country house hotel with 17 bedrooms, and you can take the whole house for your wedding.

A house I've photographed many times
Gothic doorways, tall chimneys and a long lawn in front of the house. It's an easy place to make good pictures.
I work quietly. I'm not the photographer shouting across the terrace or stopping the day for a forty-minute group list. Send me your family combinations beforehand and we'll do them in twenty minutes.
Then I take the two of you away for fifteen or twenty minutes when the light is right. Winter weddings here are lovely too, with log fires inside.
BarrieWhere weddings happen at Horsted Place
Big enough for a proper celebration, small enough to feel like a house rather than a hotel.
The croquet lawn
The outdoor ceremony option in summer, with the gardens all round and the house close by.
The Library
For a more intimate ceremony indoors, and cosy in winter.
The Garden Room and Royal Lounge
The reception rooms for the wedding breakfast, drinks and the evening.
Staying over
Take the whole house and most of the wedding party can stay, with a Bridal Suite for getting ready.
