Firle Place sits at the foot of the South Downs near Lewes, and it has been the Gage family's home for more than 500 years.
It's a working estate in the South Downs National Park, with parkland, a croquet lawn and the village church of St Peter's next door. Ceremonies can be inside the house or out in the grounds, and there's space for a marquee if you need it.
East Sussex is home ground
I live in Eastbourne, half an hour away, and photograph weddings all over this part of Sussex.
A house like Firle, with the Downs right behind it, needs very little help. I time the portraits for the late afternoon light and take you out into the grounds for fifteen or twenty minutes.
The rest of the day I work quietly. I don't move guests around or stop the day for a long group list. Send me your family combinations beforehand and we'll do them in twenty minutes.

How much does a Firle Place wedding photographer cost?
My Sussex collections are £1,150 for five hours, £1,550 for eight and £1,900 for eleven, with every image edited. Galleries come back within 24 hours for smaller weddings and within a week for a full day.
Do you charge travel for Firle weddings?
No. I live in Eastbourne, so there's no travel charge for weddings in East Sussex.
