Flavia and Olivier’s wedding at Islington Town Hall and Le Cafe du Marche

Oct 5, 2008 | weddings London

Flavia and Olivier were married at an intimate ceremony with family and friends at Islington Town Hall. After the ceremony, the wedding party moved on to Le Cafe du Marche at Charterhousse Square in London for a champagne reception. We were able go to Smithfield Market in between the rain showers to do some of our signature images for them before they went to enjoy their evening meal.

About Islington Town Hall and Le Cafe du Marche

Islington Town Hall and Le Cafe du Marche is a registry office ceremony venue with the straightforward, legally-focused tone that comes with civil weddings. Many couples pair it with a separate reception venue nearby for the rest of the day.

Registry office weddings tend to be short, sharp and focused — and I match that pace with the photography. A smaller ceremony leaves more time for portraits and guests afterwards, and I often end up with a stronger album than for a much longer day elsewhere.
