Belgravia is the quiet part of London between Hyde Park Corner, Knightsbridge and Sloane Square. White stucco terraces, black railings, garden squares and cobbled mews. Most of the weddings I photograph here start or finish at one of two hotels: The Lanesborough or The Berkeley.
The Lanesborough
The Lanesborough is on Hyde Park Corner, with Hyde Park across the road and Wellington Arch on the island in front. I’ve photographed weddings here, and couples getting ready here before marrying somewhere else. Danielle and Filipe got ready at The Lanesborough, then drove across the park to their ceremony in the Orangery at Kensington Palace.
The rooms are dark and panelled, which suits black and white. One good window is all the bride needs for her portraits, and the Library Bar is the place for the groom and his friends before the ceremony.

There’s more on the rooms on my Lanesborough wedding photography page.
The Berkeley
The Berkeley is on Wilton Place, where Belgravia meets Knightsbridge. It’s a more modern hotel than The Lanesborough, and I photograph it that way: lighter and less formal. Hyde Park is a couple of minutes’ walk one way, and the Belgravia streets are the other.

Portraits in Belgravia
The garden squares, Belgrave Square, Eaton Square and Chester Square, are private and only open to residents with a key, so I don’t plan portraits inside them. The streets around them are just as good: long white terraces, columned porches, and mews that are empty on a weekend.
Hyde Park is the other option. It’s a Royal Park, so a wedding party in bridal wear needs a photography permit. I can sort that out for you.
Getting married first
If you’re having a civil ceremony before the reception, the nearest register offices are Old Marylebone Town Hall and Chelsea Old Town Hall. I’ve photographed more than thirty weddings at Old Marylebone Town Hall and more than twenty at Chelsea Old Town Hall. Both are a short cab ride from Hyde Park Corner.
Prices
Belgravia weddings are priced the same as the rest of my London work: £1,350 for five hours, £1,800 for eight and £2,200 for eleven, with register office ceremonies from £350. Every image is edited, and smaller weddings get their full gallery within 24 hours. Full details are on my London wedding photography prices page.
