The Goodwood House wedding of Clare and Mark

Jan 10, 2016 | Wedding photographer Sussex

Clare and Mark had a fabulous wedding reception at the magnificent Goodwood House. Clare looked amazing for her winter wedding as she arrived by Rolls Royce on the turning circle outside the portico of Goodwood House, after champagne and canapes guests were treated to a tour of the historic country house by tour guides showing the diverse range of artworks and differing style of classical rooms throughout Goodwood House from the breathtaking Egyptian dining room to the long room with its priceless Canaletto’s hanging on the wall next to the magnificent tapestry room.

The bride and groom were announced into the Ballroom at Goodwood House for their amazing wedding breakfast, the Chef’s and serving staff do a wonderful job at every wedding with superb food and first class service befitting of such a grand venue.

After dinner I took some time out with the bride and groom alone to get some beautiful photographs of them together around Goodwood House and the grounds and then got them back for some very emotional speeches and the cake cutting before their first dance as the new husband and wife.

Recommended wedding photographer Goodwood

As the recommended wedding photographer at Goodwood its always a pleasure to spend time there with the bride and groom creating some fabulous photography for them to show off in their album.

If you are thinking of Getting married at Gooodwood I would thoroughly recommend it. Its a very relaxed atmosphere and as its not a hotel you will have exclusive use of the venue and the grounds for yourself and your guests for the whole day.

About Goodwood House

Goodwood House is one of the most prestigious wedding venues in West Sussex. The Regency country house sits at the foot of the South Downs a short drive from Chichester and has been the home of the Dukes of Richmond for more than 300 years. Couples have the run of grand state rooms including the Egyptian Dining Room, Tapestry Drawing Room and Long Hall, with the estate’s 12,000 acres of parkland stretching out beyond.

My favourite time of day in a house like this is usually the late afternoon, when the light gets low and warm and the state rooms start to feel almost lit from within. Couple portraits at that hour, inside or out, tend to be the strongest images in the album.
